Sea World!

Before the summer heat approached, Nana and Papa honored us with a trip to Sea World! Anything for the grandkids! Caleb was thrilled to finally see Shamu and I was thrilled with the small crowd and highs in the 80's. Another highlight was feeding the dolphins! Finally, at 25 years old, I get to touch a dolphin. Sad, I know. After waiting in line to buy fish to feed them, here is Caleb's reaction:

"EWWW, Yuck!"
Right there with ya, bud!
Here he is feeding them:

Next in line was the Shamu Show! I am still in awe that you can train a whale.

Here is the big jump at the end. Look close and you can see the baby whale jumping up out of the water, too!
Finally, here is pictures of Caleb's first roller coster ride. And it may be his last for a while.
He was not happy about the big drop!
I know there is only pictures of Caleb, but Connor was there too! I have more pictures of him from the hotel room than at Sea World. He passed out and took a long nap during the first part of the day. He seemed to enjoy watching all the activity, though. Can't complain!

"The Claw"

Caleb's scary face.
All in all, it was a great weekend! Thank you Nana and Papa for an unforgettable trip to Sea World!

Happy Easter!

Easter this year was different I have to say!  Rob is out of town so it was just me and the kiddos waking up in the morning to find the Easter baskets full of goodies! It was strange being the only one "preparing" the night before for the Easter bunny. The day was pretty stressful as well! Caleb enjoyed two very small chocolate bunnies first thing after digging into his basket and the sugar became in effect immediately!! I had hopes of taking pictures today of me and the boys in their dress clothes but that thought was shattered quickly! There was a sequence of events that took place that destroyed that dream. First, Connor hit his head on our bed post and a huge goose egg popped up on his forehead right between his eyes!

The poor kid always seems to have a bruse or bump on his head. Second, like usual, a little boy clinged to my leg whinning preventing me from fixing my hair or putting on make up. Another ponytail day. Third, Caleb managed to get his shorts wet so his nice shorts were out of the picture.  And to finish it out, the dogs somehow flung mud onto the back of Connor's white polo. Oh well! There's always tomorrow...

But to finish the thought of today being very stressful....I definitly lost my temper here and there! Today was challenging. Caleb is LOUD and Connor is fussy. That combination is just flat out frustrating! Needless to say, it can just get under your skin! Today being Easter, I felt like it should have been happy, enjoyful, reminiscing in the reason for the holiday. But instead, it was a feeling of "can't it be bedtime yet??". Isn't that awful! But thank God for this day because my mistakes today were human. And because of this, this human mindset, our sin, it is the reason for this holiday. God came down in human form to die a human death to allow us to be in heaven for eterinty with him one day. We aren't expected to be perfect. God knows this. He created us and is aware of our sinful nature. That's why he did what he did!
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."
John 3:16-17

I'm going to finish this with a few pictures from the Easter weekend. Friday night we went to church and attempted to participate in an Easter egg hunt:

This was Connor's reaction! Maybe next year!

Ehh, not interested!
Caleb then screamed and ran away when the pastor counted down 3, 2,1 GO!
Whatever!

Too cute not to share! Sharing (or fighting over) a stick.

With love,
Sarah
